Bio

I mainly find inspiration in religious objects expressing symbolism, the spontaneous working methods of folk art/outsider-art and nature. To start an art work I collect interesting visual material from photos (self-made) and drawing or sketching. Then I combine the collected images, which eventually become part of a piece of art. My choice for materials and techniques is diverse: oil paintings, watercolour -painting, pencil-drawings and fibre art. I like variety in creating and usually work on several products/several tecniques at the same time. A common feature in many of my works is a visible layering in form and material use. Through visualizing different layers and stages in the making process it becomes part of the result. Using transparent materials such as thin paper and textiles are suitable for this purpose.
